Painted Friends – Cain Complex
On January 12, a new single by the Detroit band Painted Friends was released. The song is called 'Cain Complex' and it and echoes the story of Abel and Cain.

Healthy envy of someone else's success, of love for others is probably present in every hard-working artist. Each artist has their own views on the future, and indeed the path to fame is thorny and full of illusions and torment.

Painted Friends wrote this song as a fun and kind of sarcastic self-criticism. The main guitar riff has a cool bluesy tone that starts, undermines and carries to long refrains with anthemic phrases 'trouble is all around'.

The vocal line is velvety and moderately emotional, it energizes with its lyrics and, in addition, gives reconciliation with reality and a chance for tomorrow. 'Cain Complex' from Painted Friends is cool alternative rock of the Detroit school and we are happy to add this track to our playlists.

Listen to the single 'Cain Complex' below on Spotify and enjoy a great new track from Painted Friends.
