Skylights – What You Are
The British band Skylights is a real British music that we already missed. So today, May 13, is a real holiday for all fans of britpop and indie rock music, because the debut album from Skylights was released.

The record is called 'What You Are' and includes 10 tracks that the band has been working on all last year. In addition to the digital release, the album was released on physical media and is available in vinyl and CD format.

The song 'Outlaw' sets the energetic tone of all the work. Powerful rhythm section and dirty guitars shake the air providing a dynamic accompaniment for for strong assertive vocals. Guitar melodies perfectly cover the structure of the song. The title track 'What You Are' has an atmospheric shoegaze sound with melodic vocals and a memorable motif.

The composition 'Britannia' begins with a cascade of drums that turn into hymn phrases, inflating the vibes and preserving stunning magnetism that holds our attention and makes us sing simple and insightful words. The acoustic composition 'Driving Me Away', which was previously released as a single, is a wonderful balance of romantic lyrics and soulful vocals, supported by a beautiful violin playing by Julia Violinista.
