Old Man Soul Club – Modern Jimmy
Who said the classic rock era is over? We are not sure of this vision of the current state of show business. Let's make a cut and look at the essence of one album of one British band. Let it be the Old Man Soul Club with their recently released album 'Modern Jimmy'.

In fact, we have 16 tracks, 4 of which are interludes that share the actual songs and have the effect of preparing the listener for classical song forms. We mentioned the classics here and for good reason, because from the first track called 'Two Into One' we are transferred to the hip 60's where the work of Bob Dylan and Mark Bolan from T. Rex took place. The sound of the whole album sounds vintage and it can not help but attract fans of the golden age of rock and roll. And if you take the next song 'They Don't', you can hear the song style of David Bowie, but with a completely new style of performance typical of modern rock bands. And even the experiments with post-punk in the song 'Punk' sound in the style of The Stooges but withstand the form of post-punk in the late 70's - early 80's.

Musicians from the band Old Man Soul Club combine in their music all the successful shots that took place in the 60-70s of the last century, in all rock music. And although rock music is a big genre, its basis is rock and roll, which is the body on which each rock band puts on its uniform.  'Modern Jimmy' - an album dressed in a well-sewn from the historic ideas of the classic rock layer of a separate culture - the culture of modern vintage bands. The lyrics of the band's vocalist convey the atmosphere of everything read and seen from the cultural heritage and its interpretation in their own performance. Guitar parts often using the Wah-wah effect, which, like old Jimmy, once gave us modern honest music. We give you this music now just by finding it below and we hope you have a good time in the company of a old-new rock.
