The Cult Sounds – Pale White Horse
A place to hide in the darkest times. Spread the word. Join the cult. I found this motto on the title page of the band Cult Sund in Bandcamp. We will spread that word and we will join the cult, at least now at the time of listening to their new single 'Pale White Horse' which was released on December 18, 2020.
  • The image of the White Horse is highlighted in the chorus is clearly enhanced by a piercing melody and gives us a chance to fantasize about loneliness in this life and solitude in the future life. The image of the White Horse runs through the whole song and in the culminating chorus the backing vocals are added to the freestyle whistling. They no longer let go and do not give a chance to forget this leitmotif  was created in St. Louis that clings to the Missouri River. The main vocals lean in smooth soft layers on the musical skeleton of the composition and without losing its velvetiness makes us listen to the leitmotif of the guitar leader against the background of drums in the style of the 80s that seem to sound with the charm of a vintage rhythm machine.
