The song 'Ride the Rails' tells about the events that took place in 1893 in La Grande, Oregon. Then the local population decided that the Chinese community was taking away all the best work from them and, played on by local activists, rebelled against the Chinese. Thus, the Chinese were put on a train to send them away from La Grande and this train personifies all the sadness and hopelessness of the situation that developed in those turbulent years. 

Ken Woods sings emotionally, verse by verse telling the historical truth. The driving rockabilly sound adds expression and drama to this crazy vibes. Superb guitar solos ornamentally fill this cinematic and, one might say, epic musical composition.
