LOWLAND FOLK – WhaleSong Sounding
LOWLAND FOLK is a folk band from Great Britain. On their creative path, they recorded three albums of songs and also had many performances at venues of different levels. Having founded their own company Balaena Records, LOWLAND FOLK is preparing its entire music catalog for release on streaming platforms.

Their new single 'WhaleSong Sounding' was released on July 30 and drew attention to this talented and extraordinary representative of traditional folk. LOWLAND FOLK can be called a family ensemble, as its basis consists of a husband and wife and the brother. In such a friendly company, LOWLAND FOLK are moving forward and the single 'WhaleSong Sounding' is a wonderful proof of their creative rise.

The song 'WhaleSong Sounding' was inspired by the meeting of the band members with the late Sir Peter Scott and his proposal to write a song dedicated to all the whales of the planet. Indeed, in the song 'WhaleSong Sounding' we can enjoy the real vocal sounds of a whale lovingly presented by the Ocean Alliance. Among the beautiful couplets of duet singing supported by minimalistic accompaniment in the refined traditions of the British folk school, we plunge into the world of the whale, and look at the world through the prism of his eyes.
