Kallai – Palisades
Portland band Kallai released their second single 'Palisades'. The band is in the process of preparing their debut album, which should be released in June. In their music, Kallai mixes elements of post-punk, shoegaze and dark wave in their characteristic art manner.

Such is their new single 'Palisades' because it elegantly combines all the aforementioned styles. The aura of strangeness and romanticism are closely intertwined in these lyrics, and the song actually tells about the departure from self-isolation to the long-awaited beginning of new relations.

In the song 'Palisades', a male vocal part is heard, which speaks of the two-vocal nature of the band, because Kallai's debut single featured a female vocal. The melodic vocal line is complemented by straight beats and surf guitar. Hypnotic synthesizers fill the track with a dark and penetrating background. This musical palette sounds magnetic and attractive. 'Palisades' by Kallai is another gift to fans of the new altrnative scene.
