Snailmate – Donuts in the Rain
As the artists from the Snailmate music project said about themselves: "We are very open about our mental health and want to help people know it's okay to, talk about!", and it sounds true and honest in relation to their work. Director Kalen Lander has done a great job composing a music video for Snailmate's latest single called 'Donuts in the Rain'.

Accompanied by monotonous pulsating synthesizers, Rammstein-style vocals proclaim a manifesto of freedom from the bourgeoisie and prejudice. You can become who you want to be in the new world, that you will create for yourself and there will not be place of sorrow and depression. Heavy guitars burst into the song making it aggressively driven as much as needed to support the semantic load of the text.

The music video 'Donuts in the Rain' is dominated by collage images and spontaneous sketches in a mystical comedic interpretation. The future man's skeleton digs up the past man and builds a new individual, the one he has dreamed of all his life but has buried his unfulfilled dream. The time comes to give us a new opportunity for a new self and it should not be lost. Despite all the dirty and bloody lingering in our minds, we watch a new video work from American band Snailmate on YouTube below and try to rethink our own philosophy of life.
