Powers of the Monk – Firefly
Detroit band Powers of the Monk released a new single 'Firefly'. This is their fourth release since re-emerging with a new concept and approach to songwriting.

The band Powers of the Monk was formed in 2006 by the original members Detroit Monk and Pontiac Powers. Back then, their sound was more experimental. They took a break in 2009 to return with new cool tracks.

'Firefly', one of them and this song tells about a terrorist who was inspired by fireflies and their glow in the dark to do something bad. The sound of Powers of the Monk's new song has elements of country and folk rock. Acoustic instruments perfectly interpret the idea and cozy and melodic vocals honestly tell this heartbreaking story.

'Firefly' is a song that has images that convey the psychological state of a person who is confused in his beliefs and is going to his death. Listen to the single 'Firefly' below on Bandcamp and immerse yourself in the deep musical space from Powers of the Monk.
