Champagne – Champagne
EP 'Champagne' from the eponymous band from the American city of Austin is the first serious attempt this musicians to assert itself in the indie scene. The EP consists of 6 tracks and it really conceptual like a mini album that opens the band as an interesting phenomenon in modern American music.

'Intro' opens this record. For a moment, we bring our attention to the synth toccata that tunes us into the right way to listen to a series of cool tracks. And the first of them is 'You'. Drum shot, sudden entry of the whole band in a classic indie-rock sound with jet vocals and unison melody on electric guitar and top covered with a warm blanket backing vocal lines in the style of The Black Keys. Next track 'Romantic Robbery' sounds like real English post-punk of the late 70's with a cold guitar and a straightforward rhythm. Choruses sound elegantly modern. The role of the synthesizer in the band Champagne is really great because it solos along with the guitar and gives the work of cosmic sounds from the 80s. So in the latest psychedelic ballad 'Comeback', the synthesizer scatters accents from Pink Floyd's rhythm with its seemingly chaotic bass and sonorous snare drum to pleading intrusive vocals. And of course it's worth noting the epic Gilmour-style guitar solo.

Great job from the Texas guys and we will try the monitoring their subsequent releases. And now listen to the whole EP on Spotify below and appreciate the real indie-rock band Champagne.
