videotapes. – forest/fire
videotapes. is a rock band from London that debuted on streaming platforms in May of this year with the single 'howl (for jane doe)'. Their next work is the mini-album 'forest/fire', which was released on October 14 and includes two tracks.

The 1st song is called 'fire' and it has a killer mix of punk and alternative rock that grabs our attention from the first cascading beats. The vocal lines are emotional and fiery, they excite us with their deep lyrics that reveal the problems of today and the anxiety that hangs in the air.

The second song 'forest' is a more restrained and melodic musical composition that has elements of post-punk and hard rock. The choruses is cool and sensual. The rock ensemble playing is at a high level and the musicians of the band show a great ability to emphasize and create riff moments by pumping up and highlighting various hooks that are catchy and memorable.
