Lapels – Live at Black Barn EP
The debut live EP from the British band Lapels has already been released and the mini-album is called 'Live at Black Barn'. Three live tracks recorded at recorded at Paul Weller's Black Barn Studios this spring reveal this young band as a promising band that creates stunning songs and restores the classic sound of the 90's Britpop and 00's indie rock.

The song 'Back to Beginnings' meets us with bright accents that turn into the melodic blues-rock of the 60's. The beautiful vocal line conveys emotional impulses easily and effortlessly thanks to the rocking rhythm and organic guitar arrangement.

'The Time Is Ours' is filled with cascading drums and cool guitar bridges that bind the song together via harmonious verses in which the vocals are restrained and pensive.

Marching rhythm complements a dense musical structure in the song 'Early Morning Rain' and shows aesthetics of British sound in which youth is strongly emphasized by the rhythmic vibes of the composition.

The spirit of live rock n roll lives on in this mini-album and we enjoyed listening to this exciting work and will continue to follow the talented and original British band Lapels.
