Jordan Popky – Closer to Mine
It was something wonderful. Such emotions come after listening to EP 'Closer to Mine'. Autor - Jordan Popky, the singer from Brooklyn. Fresh blood for the whole folk scene. But we don't like just to write praise, so let's walk on the tracks. Their 5:

1) A beautiful song about 'Human Touch'. The guitar part in a classical folk accompaniment is supported by a viola and its gentle melodies seem to touch us as well.

2) 'Where I Feel Known' - the expressiveness of Jordan's vocals is just like crystal and sometimes it sounds like the violin itself.

3) 'The Nest' - an electric song with pronounced electric guitars where the rhythm is supported by delicious bends. The vocals are supported by backing vocals and this adds harmony and saturation to the whole track.

4) The epic work 'Give In' is set by percussion in the new wave style and piano accompaniment. The strings shake the work, adding emotion to the talented text about relationships and their challenges.  The culmination tears everything around with its tragic-minor mood.  It's like part of a real rock opera.

5) Closes the five 'Brand New Key' song is Jordan's creative search experiment. Cabaret punk as a worthy point of this mini-album.

We are pleased to discover the talent of Jordan Popky who inspires not only us but all the musicians who helped her create this record. Listen to the EP 'Closer to Mine' below on Spotify.
