Saul Redhill – A Quiet Courage
Canadian composer and producer Saul Redhill created his second instrumental album at a home studio in Toronto. The 8-track album titled 'A Quiet Courage' and was featured at many film festivals as a soundtrack to the documentary.

This film tells about the problems of Afghanistan, that is approaching its modern culmination. This album can be listened to as one long composition woven from the sounds of ambient and instrumental music.

The track 'When Hope Is Gone' features oriental motifs played on the piano and supported by exotic percussions. Anxious atmosphere in anticipation of something bad affects in the music subject. 'We Never Got To Say Goodbye' is a solid drone in the first part and an instrumental piano romance in the next one.

In the track 'Arid Flares' ambient synthesizers fill all the minimalist harmony around. 'A Quiet Courage' is a beautiful composition that begins as a strings arrangement and gets a solo played on the oud. That folk instrument is vividly conveys the mood and sadness of the Afghan people when hope is lost but life goes on.
