John Deering – Strip Mall Jesus
On March 15, the Minneapolis-based artist John Deering released his new single 'Strip Mall Jesus'. This track is charged with garage energy, reminds us of the best days of 90s rock n roll, and it's no wonder that bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden inspired its creation.

Moreover, the mentor of John Deering is Ryan Smith, the guitarist of the great Minneapolis band Soul Asylum, who helped arrange this song. 'Strip Mall Jesus' was recorded in a basement studio and an interesting feature is how John equipped their vocal booth in a small bathroom.

As we hear, the vocal line is what is needed, it is charged with particles of atoms of rock n roll and carries a real life story. The fast beat is supported by the drummer Peter Anderson and the guitar parts were written by John Deering himself. The song 'Strip Mall Jesus' has an exciting almost underground sound with a sparkling dynamic rhythm and winding guitar lines.

'Strip Mall Jesus' by John Deering is a true gem for all grunge and garage rock fans, so we highly recommend listening to this release right now on Spotify.
