Diego Philips moved from Belgium to London where he studied music p;roduction and created his own band with which he performed in such iconic clubs as The Saatchi Gallery and The Dublin Castle. His previous albums ‘Burning Pieces’ (2014) and ‘Tides’ (2020) demonstrate his evolution as a singer-songwriter and his desire to achieve a consensus of virtue and a spiritual component in his work.

'I want to laugh until I cry' was produced by Alexander Sokolow (Tugboat Captain) at London’s Ctrl-P Studio. All songs featured on this mini-album are created in a unique minimalist style, featuring only acoustic guitar and vocals supported by warm piano and soulful cello. EP 'I want to laugh until I cry' reveals to us his stories filled with the multifaceted nature of life, the wisdom of thoughts and an open heart for feelings.  

Diego Philips' sensual vocals subtly tell story after story, harmoniously resonating with the life experiences of many of us. The beautiful musical arrangement and poetic lyrics acquire a special meaning here and we can confidently say that this release is a worthy example of modern folk song art.
