Ecce Shnak – Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy
'Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy' is a new single from New York band Ecce Shnak, which opens the curtain on their new EP 'Shadows Grow Fangs', which will be released early next year. Ecce Shnak was formed in the mid-00s and since then the band has expanded its music catalog with original and charismatic rock music.

The single 'Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy' was inspired by the work of the famous English philosopher and humanist Jeremy Bentham, who was the founder of the philosophy of Utilitarianism. This theory gave humanity a chance to take a new look at the problem of good and evil and to see their own actions through the prism of greater or lesser benefit.

David Rausch, frontman of the band Ecce Shnak, became interested in Jeremy Bentham's views and reread enough books with his works. As a result, we have a strong and deep song that shows what life and attitude to it can be.

Musically, 'Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy' is math rock with a certain dose of punk and psychedelia. The rich and driving structure of this track takes the emotional vocal lines to a new level.

In the music video 'Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy' we have the opportunity to watch episodes from historical truth where the conditional philosopher proves his views either to people or to sheep. The surreal and metaphorical video perfectly emphasizes the main principles of this song.
