Jack Norbury – Catching the Light
A truly romantic and uncompromising singer in his songs, the songwriter from Manchester Jack Norbury. His English acoustic folk is mixed with American country and performance type from alternative rock 90s. Although in the new EP 'Catching the Light' the arranging component has a minimal set of instruments, these songs sound on the sincere inertia of the author.

Jack's mini-album opens with 'It's 4am' - an acoustic ballad in the style of R.E.M with magnificent church-style choirs. The song is like a cry of the soul that the body cannot sleep because of thoughts and dreams about someone.

The next song called 'Run Away' is a story about how she runs away. At first, the song sounds like a morning misunderstanding, and with a folk-country ensemble, the track sounds more fun and hopeful.

'Thinking of Her' is first of all energetic folk with a cool arrangement of back vocals. The poems and choruses of the composition alternate in harmonious sequences and build the story of one love in a single vision.

Jack Norbury's new release completes by the song 'Spider in Your Bathtub' where the author resorts to indie folk forms, enhancing the composition with a minor electric guitar. The ballad is developed and revealed in the middle of the musical canvas by the strong character of the artist and his charisma to feel the most secret echoes of the state of mind.
