Soda Cracker Jesus – My Anthem
The beautiful view of the Mount Rainier at the foot of which lies the American city of Tacoma makes this harsh region even more attractive for tourists and lovers of dirty rock n roll. Indeed, it was in this northwestern region that grunge was invented and presented to the world, and even earlier, in the 80's, the punk scene flourished here, in which Regan Lane, the founder of the Soda Cracker Jesus music project, flourished.

Their debut single, 'My Anthem', was recently released and immediately caught the attention of true music connoisseurs with energy and retro charm. The song 'My Anthem' sounds like a mixture of protopunk from The Stooges and pop-rock from Blur. The vocal with good-natured impudence and confidence declares its anthems which do not change with time but are only strengthened by experience and the passed life ways. The guitar parts are painted with beautiful strokes against the background of a dense rhythm section and the energy of sound rock n roll undermines us to join the rhythm of the universe and go to wild dances with the protagonist as he does in the music video.

The song's drive and the singer's hooligan mise-en-scène make this video wildly hilarious and sublime. The director's idea is to show the freedom of choice and the presence of the right mood for a new blow and the fight against the challenges of everyday life. A short song and a short video like real rock n roll action movies of the past charge us with their positivity and light of inspiration. Look into the future that is not far away but right under our feet and perceive life as it is as Soda Cracker Jesus does in their music video 'My Anthem' below on YouTube.
