The Goons – Live at The Black Cat 2001
Label DCxPC Live is doing a good job immortalizing the American punk and hardcore scene through the release of a series of records with live concerts of cult bands. Their 5th volume came out late, but this fact only added interest to their new hero.

The group The Goons was the leader of the pank scene in Washington D.C. from the 90s to the beginning of the 2000s. Here's a mirror of their hottest live performances at the time recorded in 2001 at The Black Cat. The Goons bases its sound on the classic principles of punk rock with elements of hardcore.

The songs have decent speed and an archaic drive that sounds merciless and revolutionary. Vocal parts are scattered over the microphone with a lot of revelations and calls to action. Unstoppable drums under hot sticks and the charged stage shakes with chanting fans.

It was in 2001, but we are preparing for a new The Goons' appearance on stage in January next year. Don't miss it. Listen to The Goons' 'Live at The Black Cat 2001' on Spotify below.
