Axis Neptune – Reasons
Josh Cotterill started playing guitar early and his love of music led him to where he is. He named his project Axis Neptune and released his debut album 'Reasons' under this banner.

And let's go back for a moment to the person of Josh and his becoming a musician. His favorite guitarists John Frusciante and Jimi Hendrix. In such a mentoring form he developed as a guitarist copying his idols. In his younger years, Josh gained experience playing in local English bands from Scarborough and York from where he came from. Subsequent history took him to Beijing, where he recorded his debut album on his own as a producer and multi-instrumentalist.

This epic work is opened by the song 'Cherry Red' with electric beats and jazz guitar, the chords of which aptly emphasize the groove of the bass guitar. The falsetto style of the atmospheric singer Josh, flies in the air over the music layer and falls only when an electric guitar enters with its pure crystal solo in a funk style. 'Lazy Boy' solemnly continues the course of cool music Axis Neptune. The claps keep the rhythm and the basis of the whole R&B moods where the guitar makes only accents of strong beats and melisms in the form of a tightening string. Josh's voice is another instrument that the singer skillfully uses when introducing backing vocal parts around the perimeter of the song. 'Come Downs' really sounds like a drum 'n' bass that pumps air with its bumps and falls. Against this background, the guitar and vocals give birth to an incredible tragic melody that affects us in its depth. The title track of the album 'Reasons' with a funk guitar and piano accompaniment is a beautiful pop song that has a light rhythm and an interesting insert in the middle of the song with just vocals and guitar.

The album 'Reasons' has 12 tracks and each of them has a function that ultimately combines all the elements of the creative process into one conceptual work. Axis Neptune is an artist who feels the music in the little things. It seems to us that he has every chance to succeed in the musical environment of the modern planet.
