The Gloom – Requiem (for Joan of Arc)
The Israeli singer-songwriter, musician-producer Yoav Landau is based in London where he is working on his creative project called The Gloom. A new EP of the artist was recently released, the main single of which is the song 'Requiem (for Joan of Arc)'.

This track is full of romantic and melancholic sound inspired by the alternative wave of rock music of the early 80's. The song is extremely melodic and soulful and the vocalist sensually conveys all the intonations of this sad motif.

The clear and transparent sounds of the guitar arpeggio are intertwined with wide layers of synthesizers and thick cello. Velvet melodic vocals lead the main line against the background of harmonic minor progression. Closer to the culmination, the song unfolds in all its emotional effect, straightening the wings of a classical theme in a modern interpretation.
