Captain Frederickson – Absolute Disaster
Speaking about the current state of the underground scene in the City of Buffalo, we must mention one of the most interesting musical phenomena on the shores of Lake Erie. That's where keeps his dock and plays his rock, Captain Frederickson.

They recently released their second full-length album called 'Absolute Disaster'. 12 tracks of the original garage rock. Their drive is epic. Against the background of percussion rhythm machines and specific guitars, soft vocals bring us songs about everyday life and simple things that few people sing about. Captain Frederickson is moving on his untrodden path to his ocean and we want him to get there. Along the way, he is often asked 'Is Pepsi Ok?'. Creaking guitar signals sound like 90s games. Or maybe it's just the gnashing of teeth of Coca Cola fans? We will leave jokes behind, but the sound is underground and cool. Real Lo-fi turns into real grunge in the songs like 'Ben Stokes' and 'You Say Tomato'. And we even hear Jack White in the track 'Thank You Mood'. Well, do not do without rock n roll that sounds like groove track 'I'm So Facking Sweet'.

Captain Frederickson's minimalism and his ironic lyrics go well together. We welcome the punk attitude to the case. Listen to the entire album 'Absolute Disaster' in one go on Spotify under this review.
