True North – No Exit Wound
By indiedockmusicblog
In an age where music videos often feel like afterthoughts, True North's "No Exit Wound" arrives as a powerful reminder of what happens when song and vision are conceived as one. Tones Thorburn's debut single for his new Auckland-based project doesn't merely announce itself through sound—it manifests as a complete artistic statement, where the self-directed visual component proves every bit as compelling as the groove-driven soul-rock that inspired it. Here is an artist who understands that great songs deserve great cinema, and vice versa.
Martin Kuiper – Dreaming of a Sea of Time
By indiedockmusicblog
There's something rather touching about an artist who waits until 49 to fulfil their musical ambitions, and Martin Kuiper's sophomore effort, Dreaming Of A Sea Of Time, carries the weight of accumulated years with considerable grace. The Dutch songwriter's circuitous path—from physics student researching pop and rock vocal techniques to journalist at MTV London, then founder of the expansive video interview platform FaceCulture and creator of intimate live documentary formats—has clearly informed his mature approach to songwriting. After conducting nearly 15,000 interviews with artists and encouraging countless musicians to share their stories, Kuiper has finally stepped from behind the microphone to in front of it. Following his debut To Feel Is To Believe by a mere ten months, this five-track EP finds the Dutch songwriter expanding his sonic palette whilst retaining the melodic sensibilities that marked his initial offering.
Clay Brown – All My Friends (Atrophy)
By indiedockmusicblog

Their latest single "All My Friends (Atrophy)" serves as a perfect introduction to Brown's particular sensibilities.
Kevin Driscoll – You Could Have Told Me
By indiedockmusicblog
There's a rather captivating contradiction at the heart of Kevin Driscoll's latest single. "You Could Have Told Me" arrives with the emotional directness of folk music but the sonic architecture of something far more complex—a fascinating hybrid that demands repeated listening.
