The Connecting Dots – Oblivious Beat
Helena Sundstrom and Johan Borg are two musicians and two connecting dots who worked good on their first full-length album 'Oblivious Beat'. As a Swedish rock-band, The Connecting Dots absorbed the whole layer of Stockholm's glorious pop culture and folk songs of this cold land.

The album sounded from the first track 'So Beau Monde' and sounded great. Helena's singing is like the singing of the mysterious Serena, who calls to stay at her island forever. Her tenderness in the simplicity of the melodies and the soft timbre of her vocals, once catch, no longer lets our attention go. She plays on synthesizers that only complement its simplicity and mystery. Johan's guitar parts sound elegant and melodic, which sometimes reminds us of the golden age of Johnny Marr's work. The musician raises the guitar as close to our hearts as possible, so that, together with Helena's vocals, we pass the miraculous melodies of the duo through our membranes. The rhythms of all 10 tracks are electronic and are influenced by 70s music or later new wave bands such as Eurythmics. They pull all the songs into one esthetic caravan and with the last song on the list, 'Cairo, I'm Leaving You Now' they leave us.

If we want to leave the album 'Oblivious Beat' from band The Connecting Dots, its won't for long, because after a while we will be seduced by their romance again. Now and then we will find the whole album on Spotify below.
