Fremmand – Wrong
One month ago, on February 5, Fremmand's album 'Wrong' was released. We will spare no words to describe what you just need to listen to.

This is extremely organic music and its 9 tracks are well formed in the lineup. Organicity goes beyond music even when we admit that it is based in the distant Faroe Islands where the brave Vikings went in their trips to discover Iceland and America. Who knows, maybe they sang the same leitmotifs of cold songs as their contemporaries now sing. Undoubtedly, the basis of this music is the gothic rock of the early period when it just broke away from the strange post-punk. Although these two styles have always gone hand in hand, they are still different music. Not surprisingly, Gothic flourished organically in the Faroe Islands.

The album 'Wrong' carries the aesthetics of the two aforementioned styles, combining in some songs with new wave and dark wave with its keyboards and vocal reverb. The rhythm section sounds harmonious and it sounds more industrial in those moments where the guitar recedes into the background. The vocal lines of the singer Jana are perfectly concise as well as her Scandinavian lyrics. At times, the vocal parts are enhanced by backing vocals, which adds background variety to this music album. The band deserves the attention of all fans of cold gothic and melancholic post-punk and the album 'Wrong' has every chance to become a classic of these genres in the future.
